Appointment Statuses #

Appointment Status Codes are configurable labels and colors that support your practice’s scheduling workflow.

Open Appointment Status Codes #

  1. Select the Schedule tab on the Phoenix ribbon.
  2. In Appointment Codes, select Appointment Status Codes.
  3. The Appointment Status Codes window opens.

What each field controls #

  • Display Name identifies the status.
  • Menu Caption is the caption associated with it.
  • Status Color is the color associated with the status.

Add a status code #

  1. Select Add.
  2. Enter the Display Name and Menu Caption.
  3. Choose the Status Color.
  4. Review the values, then select Save.

Use names and colors that follow your practice’s workflow. Avoid labels that staff could confuse with an existing status.

Update a status code #

  1. Use the record controls or lookup to locate the status.
  2. Confirm that you selected the intended record.
  3. Change the needed value.
  4. Select Save.

Communicate color changes

If you change a status color, tell scheduling staff so they do not interpret the updated display incorrectly. Before deleting a status, have an authorized administrator review where it is used.
