Subscriber vs Patient #

The patient receives the service. The subscriber is the person under whose insurance coverage the patient is enrolled. They may be the same person, but they are not interchangeable concepts.

What to do #

1. Open the patient and selected case.
2. Review the patient identity.
3. Review the subscriber attached to the policy.
4. Compare the relationship-to-subscriber information.
5. Correct only information supported by your source.

Verify before you finish #

• Patient and subscriber names are not accidentally swapped.
• The relationship to subscriber is consistent.
• The coverage belongs to the intended case.
